An elegant 18k gold solitaire ring with a brilliant-cut citrine, approximately 8 mm in diameter. Citrine is formed when amethyst or smoky quartz reaches high temperatures. Heating amethyst to temperatures between 300°C and 560°C, for example, causes the purple to disappear and a yellow color to develop.
