Very beautiful and very unique silver bracelet from about the 1920's. The bracelet bears the stamp JA & S in a diamond, which is often attributed to English silversmith John Atkins & Sons for exports to (for instance) the United States. The makers mark of John Atkins & Sons for the UK's domestic market looks different, and we have found no hard evidence that this makers mark belongs to them. It is therefore possible that the makers mark JA & S in a diamond belongs to a silversmith from the United States who was active in the 1920's. It remains a very unique bracelet and an interesting piece of jewelry history.
